ERROR: Unable To Launch The AXF-To-DHTML Converter

It is possible to encounter the following error when trying to export your project to DHTML.

This error occurs because ToolBook cannot locate and launch the JRE - Java Runtime Environment, which is needed to do the conversion.

Normally it is easy enough to fix this problem, as all you need to do is reinstall the JRE, and then attempt to export again.

You will find the Installer for the JRE on your ToolBook CD in the Tools folder. The name is different for different versions of ToolBook but it is easy to spot as it starts with the 3 letters: JRE.

If you don't have the CD handy, you can get the JRE directly from Sun Microsystems free. Visit http://java.sun.com/getjava/download.html to find the current version. Note that this is also referred to as the Sun JVM.

JVM - JRE - oh, can't they just pick one term and stick with it to make our lives easier? Apparently not.
